Alarm systems for Perth homes, sheds and businesses

We design, install and look after intruder alarm systems across Perth and regional WA. Our main panel is the Bosch Solution 6000, which is designed and made in Australia. You can control it from your phone and choose how you're told about an alarm: straight to your own phone, or through a 24/7 monitoring centre.

An alarm is only useful if someone hears about it

A siren on its own scares off some intruders, but it doesn't tell you anything if you're at work, asleep at the other end of the property or away for the week. A well-designed alarm should:

  • Detect people where it matters, without going off for the cat or a curtain moving

  • Tell the right person straight away, whether that's you or a monitoring centre

  • Keep working through a power cut, with a backup battery in the panel

  • Be easy for everyone in the household or business to use

  • Be tested and serviced, so you can count on it when it's needed

That's what we design for. We'd rather install a system once and have it run well for years than offer the cheapest quote.

Australian-made, and built to grow with you

Most of our new alarm systems use the Bosch Solution 6000. Bosch describes it as designed and manufactured in Australia to meet local requirements, and it's one of the most widely used panels in the country. Many WA security technicians know it well, so you're never locked in to one installer.

What it means for you:

  • Room to grow. It starts with 16 zones on the board and can be expanded to up to 144 wired or wireless zones, so a small home system can be added to later.

  • Separate areas. The system can be split into up to 8 areas that arm on their own, for example the house, the shed and the granny flat, or the office and the warehouse.

  • Alarm and door control together. The same panel can run access control for up to 16 doors, with keypads, cards and fobs, so one system can secure the building and manage who gets in.

  • Proper records. The panel keeps an event history, so you can see when it was armed, disarmed or set off, and by whom.

We also install Digiflex (an Australian company) and Gallagher SMB systems where they suit the job better, for example a business that wants a cloud-managed system run from a phone. We'll explain why we've recommended a panel, not just which one.

Arm, disarm and check your alarm from anywhere

With the right communication module fitted, your Bosch Solution 6000 can be controlled from your phone using the MyAlarm iFob Control app (iPhone and Android). Depending on how your system is set up, you can:

  • Arm and disarm the whole system, or one area at a time

  • Check which doors and sensors are open or have gone into alarm

  • Open gates, garage doors or roller doors connected to the system

  • Switch outputs such as lights or pumps

  • See who armed or disarmed, and when

  • Get fault messages, such as a power failure or low battery

Each person uses their own alarm PIN in the app, so they can only control the areas and doors they're allowed to.

Good to know: app control needs an internet or 4G connection to the panel and an ongoing app service plan. We'll explain the options and costs in your quote, so nothing comes as a surprise.

Alerts to your own phone, or 24/7 professional monitoring

You choose who gets told when the alarm goes off. Both options use the same alarm system, and you can change later.

Alerts to your own phone

When the alarm activates, you get a push notification on your phone, and SMS, voice call or email alerts can be set up too. You decide what to do: check your cameras, call a neighbour, go and look, or call police.

Best for: people who are usually contactable and happy to manage their own response.

Keep in mind: you are the response. If your phone is on silent or out of range, nobody else knows.

24/7 professional monitoring

Your alarm also reports to a Perth-based 24/7 monitoring centre. Trained operators follow the response plan you set: contacting you or your nominated contacts and, where appropriate, sending a licensed security patrol or contacting police.

Best for: businesses, rural and unoccupied sites, firearm storage, and anyone who travels or can't always answer the phone.

Keep in mind: monitoring is quoted per site, and patrol attendance is arranged and charged separately.

Many clients use both: the app for day-to-day control and alerts, with monitoring behind it for the times they can't respond.

Sensors and equipment chosen for your site

Every system is designed around the building and how you use it. A typical system might include:

  • Motion detectors. Including pet-friendly dual-technology detectors, which Bosch rates for pets up to 45 kg when set up correctly, and outdoor or curtain detectors for sheds and verandahs.

  • Door and window contacts. On external doors, windows, roller doors and gates, so an opening is picked up before anyone gets inside.

  • Keypads. Text keypads, keypads with built-in card readers, and weatherproof keypads for gates and sheds.

  • Remotes and fobs. For quick arming and disarming, and for working gates and garage doors.

  • Sirens and strobes. Inside and outside, so an alarm is heard and the right building is easy to spot.

  • Seismic sensors and duress buttons. For firearm safes and other high-value storage.

  • Smoke detectors connected to the alarm, so you can be alerted when you're away. These are an extra, not a replacement for the smoke alarms your home is required to have.

  • Backup power and communications. A backup battery in the panel, and an internet and/or 4G connection, so the system can still report if the power or NBN drops.

Where our alarm systems work

Homes. Simple to use every day, with a "home" mode so you can arm the outside of the house while you're inside.

Sheds, workshops and granny flats. Armed as a separate area, so the shed can stay on while the house is in use.

Rural and remote properties. We regularly work on regional, rural and remote sites, with clients in Newman, Kalgoorlie and Esperance. We plan for long distances, patchy mobile coverage and the time it takes anyone to get there.

Shops, offices and warehouses. Separate staff codes, areas for different parts of the building, and door control from the same system.

Firearm storage. Alarm systems designed around the WA storage regulations, including seismic sensors and duress buttons where needed. Firearm storage alarms and CCTV →

Already have an alarm? We can service it, upgrade it or take it over

You don't always need a new system. We service and repair many common panels, including Bosch, DAS, NX, DSC, Ademco and Ness. We can help with:

  • A keypad that keeps beeping or showing a fault

  • Flat or ageing backup batteries

  • Sensors that set the alarm off for no clear reason

  • Adding sensors, keypads or a new area such as a shed

  • Adding phone control or monitoring to a suitable existing panel

  • Taking over a system when you've moved in and don't have the codes or the old installer's details

If your system is worth keeping, we'll tell you. If it's old, unreliable or no longer supported, we'll explain why and give you options, not a hard sell.

Looking after your alarm after it's installed

Like any safety equipment, an alarm needs regular attention. Batteries wear out, sensors get knocked or blocked, and settings need updating when people come and go. Bosch's own guidance notes that the Australian Standard for intruder alarms expects regular servicing by licensed technicians and regular testing by users.

We can:

  • Service and test your system on a regular schedule

  • Replace backup batteries before they fail

  • Update user codes, app users and contact details

  • Keep records of the work, which matters for firearm storage systems

If you also have cameras, our CCTV plans keep them connected and alerting, with Managed Care adding weekly checks. See our plans →

How it works

Site visits and system design are free. To give every client proper attention, we start with a short phone call.

  1. Send us your details using the contact form.

  2. Tim calls you to talk through your property and what you want to protect.

  3. Site visit and design, if it's a good fit for both of us.

  4. Written quote with a clear list of equipment and work, plus any ongoing app or monitoring costs.

  5. Installation and handover. We set up the app on your phone, show everyone how to use the system, and leave you with written instructions.

Alarm questions

Do I need professional monitoring, or are phone alerts enough?

It depends on whether you'll always see and act on an alert. For many homes, alerts to your phone are enough. For businesses, rural or empty properties, firearm storage, or if you travel often, 24/7 monitoring means someone acts even when you can't. We'll talk it through honestly. You don't need to decide straight away.

Will my pets set off the alarm?

Usually not, if the right detectors are used and put in the right places. We use pet-friendly detectors and think about where your animals go, such as stairs and furniture they climb on.

What happens if the power or internet goes out?

The panel has a backup battery that keeps the system running during a power cut. For reporting, we can fit a 4G module so alerts and monitoring don't rely only on your NBN connection.

Can you add an app to my existing alarm?

Often, yes. Many Bosch Solution 6000 panels can be connected to the MyAlarm app with the right module and firmware, and some older Bosch Solution 144 panels can be upgraded. Other brands vary. Tell us your panel brand, or send a photo of your keypad, and we'll let you know.

Is the Bosch Solution 6000 "AS 2201 compliant"?

Bosch makes the panel to meet the parts of the Australian Standard that apply to the panel itself. Whether a whole system complies depends on how it's designed, installed, programmed and maintained. That's our job, and we'll be clear about what your system does and doesn't cover.

Will an alarm reduce my insurance?

Some insurers ask whether you have an alarm or monitoring, and a few require one for certain policies. Check with your insurer. We can provide details of what's installed for your records.

Do you install wireless alarms?

Yes, where they suit the building, for example a finished home where running cables would be messy. Where cabling is practical, wired sensors are usually our first choice for long-term reliability.

How much does an alarm system cost?

It depends on the size of the property, the number of sensors, whether you want app control and monitoring, and access to run cables. We don't publish prices because a fair price needs a proper look at your site. Site visits and design are free, and you'll get a written quote.

Do you work outside Perth?

Yes. We work across Perth metro and surrounds, and regularly on regional, rural and remote sites.
